This month I am giving away over $950 worth of my favorite migraine-friendly products to promote the launch of my book The Migraine Relief Plan. Click here to learn how to enter the giveaway, which requires purchase of the book.
I’ll be highlighting some of the products each day as a way to thank each company for supporting my work.
Meet: Spoonk mats
Why it’s migraine-friendly:
- The thousands of tiny spikes provide acupressure release to large areas of the neck, shoulders and back
- Tension release in this area helps many people with their migraines
- Non-toxic
What they say about their product:
“The Spoonkâ„¢ Mat was born out of compassion for people who experience a lack of deep sleep, tension and muscular pain, or stress and anxiety. We believe that taking the time to relax on a daily basis will contribute to a better quality of life, prevent stress related diseases, and a happier and more relaxed you.
Spoonk mats are filled with a USA-made, high quality, CertiPur-US ECO-foam, free from fire retardant chemicals. The stimulation points are made from a recyclable, non-toxic ABS plastic, and hypo allergenic stimulation points are made with hemp plastic, free of styrene. ”
Why I recommend it:
I learned about the Spoonk mat from Dr. Mark Hyman, and got to try it out at a conference last year. I bought one and was hooked. I use it regularly to help me fall asleep, release muscle tension, and during migraine attacks to release tension in my neck and the back of my head.
What you need to know:
You can order Spoonk mats in several sizes, colors, and materials. The full size mat fits your entire back. The travel mat rolls up into a bolster that fits under your neck. Vary the pressure by the thickness of clothing or use it against bare skin for the strongest effect. Please read the warning on their website before purchasing, as certain medical conditions are contraindicated with the use of Spoonk mats.
Where to buy:
Online at SpoonkSpace.
Required FTC disclosure: Spoonk is providing one set of items for the giveaway, and they have provided one extra mat for me and one for my book events. I was not paid to write this post.
interesting. I had not seen these before and have been lots of problems with sleep. Looking into it!
I love using it… takes a little getting used to, and you need to be careful getting on and off of it as the spikes are sharp enough to break the skin if you’re not paying attention. I really get a lot of relief and my sleep has definitely improved.
