sea salt
vanilla or smoked sea salt or pink Himalayan salt (omit for low-sodium diets)

Kona liqueur
can add more if needed
Instructions
Remove the pits from the dates.
Finely grind the sea salt in a mortar and pestle, to make less salt flavor go farther.
Put the dates in your food processor with the rest of the ingredients. Process until the mixture is finely ground and holds together when pressed.
Using a 1 T. measure, form the truffles and roll into balls. Place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment, waxed paper, or a silicone sheet.
Sprinkle with a little bit of sea salt flakes if desired.
Refrigerate until firm.
