This is a quick kitchen-magic tip for today. While there are people who claim this doesn’t work, it works for me every time. The sulfur compounds in the garlic are supposed to bind to the metal.

I read this post, thought I’m going to try that one day. Yesterday I prepped for dinner, then ran out the door for an appointment. I was driving along and smelled onion even after I’d scrubbed my hands. To bad I didn’t have a faucet in my car, looked at the chrome plate where my shifter is and thought metal why not try it. No soapy wet hands, but just rubbed my hands (one at a time of course) on the metal. It took a couple of times but it worked. Thanks for sharing the tip, I’ll trying the faucet the next time.
