This is my friend Peg. She has an incredible story. In May 2010, she was diagnosed with a recurrence of her uterine cancer, now Stage IV, and given 9-12 months to live with no treatment options. What happened afterwards is truly inspiring.
Through hard work and commitment to wellness, Peg made significant changes in her entire life, including changing her name. She’s been an incredible inspiration to me, and is one reason I shifted to a plant-based diet. Here is part 2, where she gives more specifics about things you can do right now to support your health. Wonderful ideas for wholly healthy living- thank you! I’m dying to know- specifically, what are the dirty dozen and clean fifteen?
Here is a website with them listed. I thought I put it in the captions/subtitles. Thanks for asking! http://www.ewg.org/foodnews/
Excellent! I’ve got five of the dirty dozen growing in my backyard right now! (BUT I can work on the others by next spring…)
Just terrific. I so believe in what she shared. It is possible to beat cancer, but you have to make the decision to do so and fight like hell. A big part I believe is what we eat, and especially what we choose to eat when fighting cancer. I talked for awhile with a special cancer hospital in Mexico who also has offices here in So Calif. They believe in a vegan diet to fight cancer. Very interesting. Thanks Steph and may God bless your friend Peg with continued health, strength, and reaching out to share her story.
Thanks Sally! I will let her know. I was so honored to be able to videotape her, as I feel so many people can benefit from her story. Thanks for commenting!
